Aunjanue E. Taylor Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American actor-producer and stage actress is known for playing in the movie Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis. Later, she was a part of numerous television shows in independent films, mainstream and films. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she received not just praise from critics but also a number of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Film. In 1995 she was the first actress to make her debut in The Tempest as Ariel. On Broadway she's appeared in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. The most recognizable part of her career is her work in Men of Honor, The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. Also, she is well-known for her role on ABC's crime-drama High Incident.
