Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980 and is an American actress and singer. Born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier - a nurse - and Tom Bell - a television director. She is an American singer and actress. Her mother is Polish and her father German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen's talents for performing were found at a young age. She was able to land her first acting role in her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell 13, who was 13 when her mom signed up for an agent, was also cast in TV and newspaper advertisements. Now, Bell also begins individual acting classes. Bell was credited with a minor part in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell took part in the Drama and Music Club of Shrine Catholic High School. The school's show of The Wizard of Oz, Bell was chosen to play Dorothy. Bell then moved to New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student there. Bell quit her college in 2001 after she took the role of Becky to play Tom Sawyer. It was also in 2001 when Bell's debut appearance was in a credited film, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene was cut and the credits are all that display her. Bell played part of the Broadway revival The Crucible starring Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
