LadyShe failed to reach out to record companies seeking support but things were about to change after she met Rob Fusari, an artist producer. He assisted her in her musical career. They also built an excellent working relationship that led to a long-lasting relationship. It was Fusari who gave her the stage name, Lady Gaga, in tribute to the song Radio Gaga by Queen, one of Stefani's top groups. Akon who was acquainted with Lady Gaga well and was her songwriter, saw her perform at a recognized event and offered her an arrangement with his record label Kon Live Distribution.
